Please note: Employees can participate in Community Days anytime between October 8 and 19. On Saturday, October 13 we will host a Fall Carnival with games, activities, prizes, and lunch.
By registering for Community Days, you’re becoming part of our largest volunteer event of the year. Together with colleagues across the U.S. and Canada, we’ll make a difference for cancer patients in our communities.
By volunteering at Community Days, you’re helping patients in two important ways:
- Gift of a Care Package – Small gestures bring hope to people with cancer. That’s why you’ll create care packages that reach patients through Giving Comfort, our McKesson Foundation program.
- Gift of Services – When you sign up, the McKesson Foundation gives $10 to Grady Hospital - Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence, our local Cancer Care Community Partner. The Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence (GCCE) at Grady Hospital was carefully designed with the patient in mind. Patients are treated in a warm, nurturing and comfortable setting that promotes healing and peace-of-mind. The GCCE also offers coordinated support services to patients including nutrition services, breast cancer preoperative support group, therapy-centered art program and financial services.
When you sign up, you also support the team challenge for more grants to cancer nonprofits.
